ASB raises mortgage and deposit rates as consumer spending remains weak

ASB has lifted home loan and term deposit rates while consumer spending shows weakness and the New Zealand dollar remains stable.

ASB has increased both home loan and term deposit rates. Consumer spending data came in weak. The Inland Revenue Department is monitoring horticulture employers, and there is strong demand for New Zealand Government bonds. The New Zealand dollar and swap rates remained stable.
