Contact Energy and CDC Data Centres are exploring a large datacentre powered by renewable energy near a retired power station in Taranaki.
Contact Energy and Infratil-backed CDC Data Centres have announced plans to explore development of a 250-megawatt datacentre in Taranaki. The project would be built on land near Contact's retired Taranaki Combined Cycle gas-fired power station and would be supported by co-located battery storage. The companies will seek resource consent for the Stratford site.
