Worker awarded $27,000 after being fired and escorted out by security
A Qeelin store worker has won a legal settlement after being dismissed without notice and escorted from the building by security.
A worker at the Qeelin store in Westfield Newmarket was called to an unscheduled meeting by an area manager on 19 July 2025 and was subsequently fired on the spot. The worker was then escorted out of the building by security. A legal settlement has now awarded the worker $27,000.
