Mana College in Porirua locked down after chemical discovery

A Wellington high school was locked down and closed after potentially volatile chemicals were found in a storeroom.

Mana College in Porirua was put into lockdown after a chemical substance was discovered on campus. Fire and Emergency NZ attended the scene and the substance was disposed of through a controlled explosion. All students were released and the school remained closed for the day while police investigated the incident.
