A Waikato man has been convicted after filming himself sexually abusing his 5-year-old daughter and sending images to a person overseas.

A Waikato father has been convicted of sexually abusing his young daughter and distributing images of the abuse. He filmed the abuse himself and sent the images to a person in the United States. In his pre-sentence report, the man claimed his actions were a "terrible misunderstanding" and described a "deviant" streak that had spiralled out of control.
