A New Plymouth woman ordered to receive $11,300 in reparations from a drunk driver will wait over two decades at the agreed payment rate.
A judge ordered a drunk driver to pay $11,300 in reparations to a New Plymouth woman for damage to her home and emotional harm after he crashed into her lounge. However, at the agreed payment rate of $10 per week, it will take 22 years for the victim to receive the full amount.
