Three men have pleaded not guilty to murdering an 82-year-old pensioner in a fire allegedly started with a Molotov cocktail at his Wellington flat.
An 82-year-old pensioner was asleep in his Kāinga Ora flat in Stokes Valley when a fire was lit in a cupboard below his unit on November 5, 2024. He had to be helped from the building and was covered in soot. Three men are accused of his murder and arson in connection with three fires allegedly started using Molotov cocktails, charges they all deny.
