The Commonwealth Games opening ceremony was held for the first time at an indoor venue, The Hydro in Glasgow. Athletes from 74 nations and territories took part. King Charles and Queen Camilla featured in a Tardis-themed arrival, with giant screens showing a journey around Scotland including a stop at Balmoral.
