Tech investors from major US firms back Auckland venture-capital fund

Former SpaceX, Nvidia and Apple employees are among offshore backers of an Auckland VC firm's latest $60 million fund.

An Auckland venture-capital firm, Global from Day One, has raised nearly $60 million for its fourth fund. About a fifth of the capital came through the Active Investor Plus golden visa programme. Former employees of major US technology companies including SpaceX, Nvidia and Apple are among the offshore investors backing the fund.
