Taskmaster NZ returns for season seven with Rose Matafeo, Dave Fane and three other comedians

Taskmaster NZ begins its seventh season next month with five new contestants competing in absurd challenges judged by Jeremy Wells.

The New Zealand version of the comedy competition Taskmaster is returning for a seventh season starting September 14. The five contestants competing this year are Rose Matafeo (an award-winning comedian and previous Taskmaster UK participant), Dave Fane (actor and founding member of The Naked Samoans), Morgana O'Reilly (known for dramatic roles in White Lotus and other shows), Rhys Mathewson (Billy T and Fred Award-winning comedian), and Hoani Hotene (2025 Billy T Award winner). Jeremy Wells returns as Taskmaster with Paul Williams as his assistant.
