A school IT manager who was dismissed over a joking comment about a car crash has been awarded $12,000 after a finding of unjustified dismissal.
Kevin Whelan, who worked as IT manager for Lindisfarne College's Board of Trustees for 23 years, was dismissed following a car crash joke. The dismissal was found to be flawed. He has been awarded $12,000 in settlement.
