Missing Bay of Plenty man, 71, sparks land and sea search

A 71-year-old man missing from his beachside Bay of Plenty home since early Wednesday is the subject of an urgent police search.

Ross Weir, 71, went missing from his beachside home on Pukehina Parade near Motunau Park in the early hours of Wednesday, 19 August. Police say he was last seen on Tuesday night. His family is concerned for his safety due to medical concerns. A large land and sea search has been launched.
