Rush to desex pigs rehomed after farmer charged with murder

Around 70 pigs are being desexed after wild boars broke into their enclosure following their rehoming.

Approximately 70 pigs have been rehomed and are now being desexed after three wild boars breached their enclosure. Two of the boars have remained with the rescued pigs. The animals were previously cared for by a Coromandel farmer who has been charged with murdering a pig hunter.
