A driver allegedly stole a good Samaritan's car at a crash scene, then drove back and collided with four vehicles including a police car.

Police are investigating two crashes in Patumāhoe, South Auckland. A driver involved in the first crash allegedly took a vehicle from a person who stopped to help, then returned to the scene and hit four vehicles including a police car. The driver was seriously injured in the second collision.
