One in five St John ambulance calls not emergencies, CEO says
St John's chief executive says up to 20 per cent of ambulance calls could be handled by GPs instead.
Hato Hone St John's CEO Peter Bradley has suggested that approximately one in five people calling for an ambulance do not actually need emergency services. According to Bradley, many of these callers could instead wait to see their own doctor.
