A New Zealand police officer was shot in the leg while responding to a domestic violence call in Yengarie, Queensland on Friday. Colleagues risked their lives to drag the officer 100 metres to safety during the incident. The officer's family flew to Queensland to be with him, and he later thanked the colleagues who saved him.
