NZ sharemarket reaches historic 14,000 milestone
The NZ sharemarket touched 14,000 points for the first time, closing up 0.83% with Fisher & Paykel Healthcare hitting a new high.
The S&P/NZX 50 Index reached the historic 14,000-point mark during afternoon trading, briefly testing 14,000.25 before closing at 13,976.67. The index gained 114.74 points on the day, representing a 0.83% increase from the morning's low of 13,850.51. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare contributed to the rally by reaching a new all-time high.
