Ngāi Tahu Farming chosen to operate Molesworth Station
The Department of Conservation has selected Ngāi Tahu Farming as the preferred operator for New Zealand's largest farm.
The Department of Conservation announced that Ngāi Tahu Farming, a subsidiary of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu Group, has been selected as the preferred operator for Molesworth Station. The station covers more than 180,000 hectares, making it larger than Rakiura/Stewart Island and bigger than 10 of New Zealand's national parks. Ngāi Tahu Farming will be invited to apply for a concession to manage the land.
