A survey has found that New Zealand-born people of Asian descent are experiencing poorer mental health outcomes, with one in two reporting some degree of depression. Being born in the country does not automatically create a sense of belonging, according to findings. Political parties are now focusing on improving mental health support for the Asian community ahead of the November election.
