Nearly 90% of Kiwis confident with money despite a third having no savings

Most New Zealanders feel assured about their financial management, yet significant numbers lack emergency savings.

A survey found that nearly 90 per cent of New Zealanders report confidence in their money management skills. However, a third of respondents have no savings at all. The disconnect suggests that feeling confident about finances does not necessarily translate to sound financial behaviour.
