The Ministry of Social Development is using a gamified activity to help beneficiaries into work. The ministry frames the initiative as an employment support tool. However, a former staff member has criticised the approach as "callous and cold" and said the actual goal is to reduce beneficiary numbers rather than provide genuine support.
