Mount Maunganui pizzeria closes after landslide forces Adams Avenue shutdown
Renewed movement at a landslide site has closed part of Adams Avenue, forcing Rustica pizzeria to shut its doors.
Adams Avenue in Mount Maunganui was partially closed to traffic in July after fresh movement was detected at the site of a previous deadly landslide. The closure has forced Rustica pizzeria to shut down, with the owner saying there is no reason to remain operating. The business has been unable to continue trading due to the road closure.
