A major wildfire burning over 27 square kilometres in Belgium has forced hundreds to evacuate and is now approaching the German border.
One of Belgium's largest wildfires in recent history has scorched more than 27 square kilometres of a nature reserve in remote, hilly countryside. The fire raged out of control on Monday despite cooler weather and rain in the morning that helped firefighting efforts. The blaze is approaching Germany, while separately, a fire briefly flared near an airport in Greece.
