Low Danube water levels expose sunken Nazi warships from World War II
Unusually low water in the Danube River has revealed World War II-era German naval vessels deliberately sunk during the retreat from Romania.
The Danube River's water level has dropped to the point where World War II ships are becoming visible. The vessels belonged to Nazi Germany's Black Sea fleet and were deliberately sunk by German forces as they retreated from Romania. Some of the exposed ships still carry weapons.
