Lewis Clareburt wins two golds for New Zealand at Commonwealth Games

New Zealand swimmer Lewis Clareburt has claimed two gold medals at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, winning the 200m butterfly and 400m individual medley.

Lewis Clareburt secured New Zealand's first gold medal of the Commonwealth Games by winning the men's 200m butterfly with a dramatic comeback, qualifying second but surging home to defend his title. The 27-year-old then added a second gold in his favoured 400m individual medley event. Clareburt is now eyeing the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 after his successful Games campaign.
