Judge dismisses Whimp’s ‘tactical delay’ in Chance Voight liquidation bid
A High Court judge has rejected founder Bernard Whimp's last-minute defence against the liquidation of 24 more Chance Voight entities, calling it an abuse of process.
Bernard Whimp, founder of the failed Chance Voight investment group, made eleventh-hour attempts to defend against the liquidation of a further 24 entities. The High Court in Christchurch heard the Financial Markets Authority's application to wind up these companies. A judge dismissed Whimp's efforts as an abuse of process and a tactical delay.
