Jon Toogood releases memoir as Shihad chapter closes
The Shihad frontman has published a memoir reflecting on 37 years with the band and is touring to promote the book.
Jon Toogood, frontman of the now-defunct New Zealand rock band Shihad, has released a memoir titled Home Again that explores his decades in the band, touring, and personal struggles including anxiety and relationship breakdowns. The book also covers his journey to finding peace and connection through family. Toogood is embarking on a book tour with dates scheduled across New Zealand cities including Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Tauranga. Shihad, which formed in 1988, concluded with final live performances in 2025 after releasing several number one albums over nearly four decades.
