The Inland Revenue Department made 73,732 referrals of student loans to overseas debt collectors under a relatively new scheme provision.

The Inland Revenue Department has referred 73,732 student loans to overseas debt collectors over a four-year period. This was done under section 145A of the Student Loan Scheme Act, a provision designed to address accumulated student loan debt owed by borrowers who have relocated abroad.
