Le Guin's Earthsea Quartet as a book everyone should read, cites Margaret Mahy's A Lion in the Meadow as her favourite New Zealand book, and is excited about the upcoming adaptation of Lore Olympus. Uivel also advocates against using AI for creative writing, saying readers and writers should use their own brains rather than rely on machines.
