Horticulture sector tracking towards goal of doubling farmgate returns by 2035

The horticulture sector is on track to meet its target of doubling farmgate returns by 2035, according to the sector group's chief executive.

The Aotearoa Horticulture Action Plan was launched three years ago with the goal of doubling the farmgate value of horticultural production by 2035. This target is separate from the Government's own goal to double export values. The sector's chief executive says the industry remains well on track to achieve the farmgate returns target.
