Government to clear derelict Manukau polytech sites for housing

The Government will clear contaminated former Manukau Institute of Technology sites acquired in 2019 to make way for housing development.

Government-owned sites formerly occupied by the Manukau Institute of Technology will be cleared and redeveloped for housing. The sites, which were acquired by the Government in 2019, are currently derelict and contain asbestos. The redevelopment aims to address housing needs.
