Gloriavale leavers file $40m claim for unpaid wages and entitlements
Former members of the Gloriavale commune have filed a nearly $40 million claim against its leadership for unpaid wages and employment entitlements.
Dozens of former Gloriavale members have filed employment claims totalling almost $40 million against the commune's Overseeing Shepherd. The leavers say they were denied basic entitlements including wages, holiday pay, KiwiSaver contributions and parental leave. They also describe work accidents as commonplace within the commune.
