Glenbrook Steel Mill has started operating a new electric arc furnace designed to significantly reduce the country's greenhouse gas output. The facility represents New Zealand's largest single-site decarbonisation effort. The new system is expected to eliminate around a million tonnes of carbon emissions every year.
