Freightways shares fall despite strong financial results

Freightways reported robust 2026 results but investors pushed the share price down amid economic concerns.

The freight and logistics company posted revenue growth of 13.5% to $1.46 billion and ebita growth of 14.6% to $181.6 million for the year to June 30. The ebita margin remained effectively unchanged at 12.4%. Despite the strong performance, shareholders drove the share price down sharply, with nervousness about the economic recovery appearing to weigh on investor sentiment.
