Employment Court backs firefighters union in parental leave payment dispute
The Employment Court has upheld a ruling in favour of the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union in a parental leave payment dispute with Fire and Emergency.
The Employment Court has confirmed an earlier Employment Relations Authority decision that sided with the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union. Fire and Emergency's challenge to that earlier ruling has been dismissed. The case centred on parental leave payments for firefighters.
