Electric hydrofoil startup Vessev raises $32.6m for US expansion
Auckland-based electric boat maker Vessev has raised NZ$32.6m to boost production and expand into the United States.
Vessev, an Auckland startup that manufactures electric hydrofoil passenger boats, has secured US$19 million in Series A funding and follow-on financing. The capital will enable the company to increase production of its VS-9 boats at its Mt Wellington plant and expand into the American market. The company's boats are being deployed for America's first electric hydrofoil ferry service across Lake Tahoe.
