A deputy principal has been found guilty of misconduct after restraining and isolating a young student for up to 45 minutes.
A deputy principal at Massey Primary was found guilty of serious misconduct after using inappropriate physical force on a student. The experienced teacher pulled the learner from his classroom and kept him outside, where he cried and called for his mother, banging on classroom windows to get attention from other teachers. The deputy principal was found to have acted out of frustration in response to the student's behaviour.
