Dean Anderson named finalist in BusinessDesk’s second CEO Index

Kernel founder Dean Anderson has been selected as one of 24 finalists in BusinessDesk's annual CEO Index recognising New Zealand business leaders.

The BusinessDesk CEO Index has returned for its second year, with a panel of independent judges selecting 24 New Zealand chief executives and business leaders making an impact in their sectors. Dean Anderson, founder and CEO of fintech company Kernel, is among the 2026 finalists. Anderson notes that financial services has been a stagnant industry for decades but says the current period represents a once-in-a-generation transformation of the sector.
