A former New Zealand police officer and champion bodybuilder has been sentenced to more than nine years in prison for historical sexual offences.
Brian Denys McFarlane, who was once a celebrated champion bodybuilder and one of New Zealand Police's oldest recruits, has been sentenced to more than nine years' imprisonment for historical sexual offending. Police acknowledged the bravery and strength of the victim following the sentencing.
