Bright green meteor streaks across North Island sky
A bright green meteor was spotted lighting up the sky across the North Island on Sunday evening.
A bright green fireball was observed streaking across the North Island sky just before 7.45pm. Sightings were reported from Waikato, Bay of Plenty and as far south as Waikanae. Video footage of the meteor was captured and shared online by the Tauranga Astronomical Society.
