The Downtown Carpark in central Auckland has been approved for a multi-billion-dollar redevelopment featuring two skyscrapers and three podium buildings.

The Downtown Carpark site on Customs Street West in central Auckland has been granted fast-track approval for redevelopment into two high-rise towers, three podium buildings and a new laneway network. The taller tower will reach 222.5 metres, exceeding the height of the stalled Seascape project. The approval was granted under the Government's fast-track legislation.
