Auckland Council is seeking advice on ways to more actively shape how and where the city grows, including rewarding preferred projects and resisting unanticipated growth. The council group has opposed several large, out-of-sequence residential developments approved under the Fast-track Approvals Act. Those approvals bypassed local planning rules.
