An Air New Zealand flight from Wellington was forced to circle back after failing to land in severe weather conditions.
Flight 5349 from Wellington attempted to land in Christchurch shortly after midday but had to abort the approach due to wild weather. The aircraft circled back and made a second landing attempt about 15 minutes later.
