PNG Rugby Union must clear debt to restore World Rugby membership
Oceania Rugby says Papua New Guinea must settle its financial obligations to regain World Rugby membership after being suspended last year.
The PNG Rugby Union was suspended in September 2024 following breaches of its tournament obligations, governance and financial non-compliance. Oceania Rugby has now stated that the organisation must clear its debt before it can restore its membership status with World Rugby.
