A stillborn boy discovered on a Marlborough roadside in May has been buried in a community service.
A stillborn baby boy, found on Wairau Bar Road north of Blenheim by a machinery operator in May, has been laid to rest at Fairhall Cemetery. The infant, whose parents remain unidentified, was given the name Baby Doe. About 30 to 40 people including police, iwi leaders and community members gathered to farewell the baby, who they described as belonging to all of them.
