Genesis Energy will spend the next 12 months reviewing the future of Huntly Power Station's Unit 5, a 403 MW gas-fired generator. The company is preparing to exit baseload gas generation by 2029 or earlier. If Genesis cannot establish a commercial case for keeping the unit operating beyond that date, it may sell the generator overseas.
