A 56-year-old woman has appeared in court on assault charges following the death of a man found unresponsive at a Haruru property on Saturday morning.
A man was found unresponsive at a property in Haruru Falls near Paihia early on Saturday morning and subsequently died. A 56-year-old woman has been arrested in relation to events that preceded his death. She has appeared in Kaikohe District Court on assault-related charges. Police are investigating the death, which they have described as unexplained.
