A man convicted of defrauding the Covid wage subsidy scheme has lost his appeal against his jail sentence.
Luke Daniel Rivers, who committed persistent and opportunistic fraud involving the Covid wage subsidy, has been unsuccessful in appealing his jail time. His claim that an ankle bracelet would cause him undue inconvenience was rejected. The court upheld the original sentence.
