Three men have been charged over allegations they deceived two councils into awarding contracts worth over $12m to an engineering firm they controlled.
The Serious Fraud Office has charged three men, including a former council manager, in connection with an alleged scheme to defraud two councils. The trio allegedly used their positions to secure contracts valued at more than $12 million for an engineering firm they were involved in running. The contracts were awarded by Auckland Council and KΔpiti Coast District Council.
