Filipino families claim losses after dealing with Auckland property group
Immigrant families say they lost tens of thousands of dollars and KiwiSaver deposits in home-buying deals with St Johns Property Group.
A group of Filipino families have accused property trader St Johns Property Group of leaving them significantly out of pocket in their attempts to purchase first homes. The families claim to have lost KiwiSaver deposits and other funds through transactions with the Auckland-based business. At least one couple has filed a complaint with the Law Society after losing their $63,000 KiwiSaver first-home deposit.
